I am a family medicine doctor with broad interests in medicine and health. I focus on preventive care, with particular interests in pediatric care, women’s health, diabetes, prediabetes, body positive care and creating an environment that is welcoming and safe for LGBTQ patients. I offer face-to-face virtual visits for follow-up care.
I see my patients first as individuals. There is more to health than a particular diagnosis, problem or risk factor. I partner with patients to address their concerns in way that works best for them.
I'm passionate about: learning about individual patients' and families’ needs. Everyone is different and their health goals reflect this. It's a privilege to provide medical care, and I enjoy my time most when we work together on shared goals.
I became a doctor because: I wanted to know that what I did each day could positively impact someone’s life. I also love family medicine because it allows for continued relationships with families over the years.
Something I have learned from my patients is: that our time in the clinic is far more impactful if I understand a bit about what someone’s life is like. Our health care does not happen in a vacuum.
One of the challenges of this career that I enjoy is: that there is always something new to learn, both from research and from patients themselves.
My personal health goal is: to incorporate exercise in my day-to-day activities with my family.
The best thing I've done for my health is: to recognize the importance of sleep and prioritize time for rest. It changes my stress level and my whole outlook on the day.
