Samuel H. Leon, MD
I graduated with honors from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1980, having completed my undergraduate work at the same institution. My internship and residency were performed in internal medicine at the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor. Following completion of his residency, I moved to Seattle, where I finished my fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Washington.
I am board-certified by three national medical organizations: the American Board of Gastroenterology; the American Board of Internal Medicine; and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
I am currently serving on the Board of Directors of both Medica and Fairview Physician Associates.
My former professional appointments include: Vice Chief, Department of Medicine; Medical Director, Endoscopy Department; and Chief, Department of Medicine at Methodist Hospital.
Since 1986, I have served as a clinical associate professor at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. My special medical interests are intestinal motor disorders.
In my free time, I like outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
