Why I became a physician: The heart is a remarkable organ that is expected to beat 60-100 times per minute, for 24 hours a day, and 80+ years without fail. When the process breaks down, I enjoy solving the mystery of why it broke down and more importantly fixing the problem so it runs smoothly once again and thus patients feel better.
How I spend my free time: Playing sports with my four kids, running with my wife, golfing and fishing for salmon, steelhead, walleye and panfish.
What patients say about me: Having grown up in North Dakota and educated in central Minnesota, I understand and relate to patients in this geographic area. My patients would say that I'm down to earth and I listen to their concerns before tailoring a treatment plan that is unique to each individual patient.
