Your care team
New Ulm Medical Center prides itself on having caring, expert caregivers who put patients first. Everything we do is designed to meet your needs in an atmosphere that promotes healing and comfort.
Our nursing staff's responsiveness and level of personalized, skilled care is second to none. Survey results show that the strong, personal connection our nurses make with their patients stands out as one of the most satisfying parts of their hospital experience.
While in the hospital, you will be cared for by a hospitalist, who is a doctor who specializes in coordinating the care of patients while in the hospital. Hospitalists work with your referring doctor and transition your medical care back to them when you're ready to go home.
A lot of people are involved in delivery comprehensive care to patients. Your care team may consist of a doctor, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, social workers, RN care coordinators and laboratory, imaging and rehabilitation staff as needed.

For patients who are critically ill or for those with cardiac conditions, New Ulm Medical Center has a dedicated Specialty Care Unit. These patient rooms are equipped with advanced monitoring equipment and are staffed by nurses with advanced training to care for seriously ill patients.
