Courage Kenny Adaptive Golf- Twin Cities
Spend some time outdoors this summer taking in the views of a beautiful golf course while brushing up your skills and getting exercise. Golf is a sport you can play at any age or ability level and enjoy with friends and family.
The Courage Kenny adaptive golf program offers many options for those interested in the sport of golf. We offer both lessons and non-competitive league-based programming for youth and adults with a disability. This program is designed to accommodate those who are interested in learning to play golf for the first time, as well as those who want to return to the game of golf after the onset of a disability.

What it is
With the help of our CKRI staff, volunteers, and adaptive golf professionals, you can learn the sport or improve your golf game through lessons and regular play. We offer a variety of ways and locations to get involved and learn the sport of golf. All sites offer 9-hole par 3 courses.
Weekly Lessons
Athletes work one on one with a trained volunteer to improve their game. Lessons are available for beginner through advanced golfers. Each week you will practice golf techniques on the putting green, driving range, or the executive course. Adaptive equipment, including adaptive carts can be provided.
Locations:
Eagle Lake Golf Course, Plymouth - Mondays
The Loop at Chaska, Chaska - Wednesdays
Non-Competitive League Play
Courage Kenny also offers league-based play. Volunteers are there to help those learning to play golf and those who want to return to golf after the onset of a disability. Golfers are assigned a “tee time” to play 9 holes and pay a green fee directly to the course. Adaptive equipment, including adaptive carts can be provided.
Locations:
Braemar Golf Course, Edina - Mondays
Island Lake Golf Course, Shoreview - Thursdays
Oak Glen Golf Course, Stillwater (no adaptive carts) - Fridays
Discover Adaptive Golf Clinics
Discover Adaptive Golf Clinics are one-time lessons for individuals new to adaptive golf, or for those unable to commit to a full season. During the clinics, you’ll learn and practice basic golf skills with volunteer instructors. These clinics are typically offered a few times throughout the summer and at a variety of our golf partner locations.
Who it is for
Courage Kenny Adaptive Golf is for individuals with disabilities, ages 6 and up. Our volunteers are trained specifically in techniques to teach individuals with physical or cognitive disabilities, many of whom may need the aid of adaptive equipment. This includes people who have amputation, visual impairment, stroke, cerebral palsy, brain injury, autism, spinal cord injury and other physical or cognitive disabilities.
Depending on the location and availability, family and friends of athletes are encouraged to attend and play with the registered golfer (green fees may apply).
