Management of Maternal Obstetric Complications
This multidisciplinary conference will address care of pregnant patients with acute illness. We aim to equip healthcare providers with the tools to identify pregnant patients at risk of becoming critically ill, prevent long term illness, provide initial treatment and stabilization, and understand acute care management, and prevent long term complications. The focus will consist of the frequent and urgent causes of maternal morbidity including cardiovascular disease, amniotic fluid embolism, diabetes, system conditions and substance abuse, along with the role of professionals who support this patient population.
