Scuba, adaptive - Northland

Experience the feeling of weightlessness and the joy of breathing underwater with Try-SCUBA. This brief introduction to scuba diving is taught by certified dive instructors from Midwest School of Diving with experience in adaptive sports.

Each Try-SCUBA session lasts approximately 60-90 minutes, combining classroom learning with in-water pool activities.

While not a scuba certification course, Try-SCUBA is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. Open to ages 12 and older.

NOTE: This event is also offered at our Twin Cities location.

Who it is for

This class is open to people who are 12 and older. Scuba diving is naturally a partner sport. We encourage friends and family members to sign up with you

What to expect

You will spend about 60 minutes in the water with a certified dive instructor from the Midwest School of Diving.

Good to know

This is not a scuba certification course.

In order to participate, specific forms need to be signed by your physician. These forms must be completed and turned into the Sports & Recreation Department prior to participating in the class.

  • If you need assistance with personal care needs, please bring a personal care attendant or family member with you.
