Golf, adaptive – Island Lake Golf and Training Center, Shoreview
Spend some time outdoors this summer taking in the views of a beautiful golf course while brushing up your skills and getting exercise. Golf is a sport you can play at any age or ability level, and enjoy with friends and family. The Courage Kenny adaptive golf program offers many options for those interested in the sport of golf. This program is designed to accommodate those who are interested in learning to play golf as well as those who want to return to the game of golf after the onset of a disability.

What it is
With the help of our course staff, volunteers and adaptive golf professionals, you can learn the sport or improve your golf game through lessons and regular play. Equipment can be provided if needed.
Who it is for
This program is for individuals with a physical disability. Family and friends of participants are encouraged to attend and play with the registered golfer. People who have amputations, arthritis, strokes, polio, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities are welcome to join.
Good to know
Trained staff and volunteers are available to assist the golfer.

To volunteer, contact CKRI Volunteer Services at 612-775-2727. Volunteers do not need to have knowledge of golf. Just a willingness to support others.

Fee information
Courage Kenny Sports & Rec registration fee of $40.00. When playing 9 holes, additional greens fees are paid directly to the golf course each week. Golf carts are included in the greens fees.
No participant will be turned away due to financial hardships. Cost sharing and scholarships are available. Contact?CKRIsportsrecreation@allina.com?for more information.
What to bring
Bring your own water to help with hydration. Golf clubs are provided, if needed.
