Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair basketball is a fast-paced, competitive sport. It helps strengthen your upper body and core while teaching you teamwork, competition, recreation and sportsmanship. The season runs September through April, but it’s never too late to join. Are you ready to take your shot at playing with a nationally renowned team?

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute's wheelchair basketball program has a long history of competitive wheelchair basketball and serving thousands of athletes with disabilities over the years. Courage Kenny’s vision is to partner with people to live, work, and PLAY to their full potential. We believe sports play a vital role in building character, fostering teamwork, and promoting overall well-being.

Courage Kenny Wheelchair Basketball offers three junior teams, and two adult teams which all compete within the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). Overall, the wheelchair basketball program serves 60+ athletes over six teams, with the support of 12+ volunteer coaches. These teams travel and compete in tournaments around the country between September – April. We also offer a non-competitive introductory program for youth 10 and under.
