Bowling offers rewarding challenges while improving hand-eye coordination, balance, strength and concentration. For people with disabilities who are interested in meeting new people while developing adaptive bowling skills. Adaptive equipment is available for people with a wide range of abilities. Class offered by Courage Kenny Rehabiliation Institute Sports & Recreation department. NOTE: It may be possible to join after the series starts; call to inquire.
Who it is for
People with disabilities. You must be independent in personal care or have a personal care attendant or family member who can assist you.
What to expect
Most weeks you will bowl two to three games. Volunteers are there to assist to help get the ball, use a bowling ramp, or give simple tips and tricks. An additional fee of typically $2 per game will be due each week to the Park Tavern.
