Childbirth Prep Express
2 day prep for labor, birth & newborn safety
This express class focuses on preparation for labor, birth and newborn safety. Topics include:
- Labor and birth and the options available
- The role of your spouse, partner or labor companion
- Use and choice of medications and medical procedures
- Cesarean birth
- Your recovery and hospital stay
- Your baby’s safety
During this class you may also tour the Birth Center at your hospital if census permits.
Please note. These express classes only briefly covers relaxation and breathing tips for coping with labor. It is recommended that you take the Coping with Labor class for hands-on techniques. You may also take a weekly series to learn more about relaxation and breathing during labor.
It is recommended you complete this class no later than one month before your due date. Register early in your pregnancy to secure the dates you prefer during the latter part of your pregnancy. Please bring your Beginnings Book, a blanket or mat and two pillows.
